Can anyone tell me where to find a dovetailed gold bead front sight for my little 627 PC snubby? I'm having a hard time finding one online.

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if SDM makes one for the 627 snubbie, but I have one on my 627-0. I really like it. I want one for my new Python.

Gold Bead and Tactical Target

Could you please share which height you purchased for your 627-0? Ironically less than a half hour before reading your post, I was fondling some of my revolvers and said to myself that my 627-0 really could use a gold bead front sight.

:D I got it from my buddy's junk drawer. I'll try to remember to measure it ASAP.

I had a gold bead installed on my existing sight. Not very much money.

Here are two revolvers with gold beads installed on the sights.

I had Karl Sokol from chestnut Mountain sports in VT made me one for my revolvers.

The problem with the 2" is the front sight may be too tall and shoot very low from POA. There is a mathematical formula to determine the height at a given distance but I don't recall it presently. The company you order from should know. I had an SDM on a 16-4 and it was unusable.

Yea, that's what I was thinking that after I posted. My sight height would likely be too short for your 2.6"
