I finally got my first Gold Box thanks to smith17, who BTW is a great guy to deal with. TY Sir. I recently purchased period correct stocks for it too. Both were very hard to find. This brings me to my question, since I couldn’t find much info on antique cardboard preservation. What do you guys do to preserve, clean and/or repair your old boxes? I don’t want to do a “Bubba the Boxsmith” on this beautiful box.
I’m really happy with the condition of it, so I’m mainly concerned in preserving it. TY for any info. Forgive me if I don’t answer right away, I need to start my Christmas Eve honey do list. Happy Holidays all.
Thanks Scott P.S. I can't believe how snug it fits in the box. But it shouldn't surprise me
