Good advice if you’re involved in a shooting.

Great Post! Thank you, I would just add that the sentence "I feared for my life" should be added to any situation or any official statement. It makes one appear more like a victim if the case ever appears before a jury, because no one can quantify the "fear" that you felt.

It probably did not help Fish's case that he shot the guy 3 times. It seems like you're damned if you do and damned if you don't talk.
You shoot until the threat is neutralized, be that three times or thirty.

Getting killed because you gave up before the fight was over is a really lousy way to stay out of court.

I'd rather be the defendant than the deceased.

I don't know why some people don't understand this. We've said here many times that what goes on between the ears is of utmost importance.

If people think that they will have the time to stop and think while trying to defend themselves, their sadly wrong.

Mindset and situational awareness WILL determine the outcome of the fight. So we must be prepared and we must know what it is we need to do to prevail well before we step out onto the street.
