Hey guys. Bought my first revolver today. New 642 .38S+P with gator grips paid $389 plus tax. Its going to be my main ccl side arm and i wanted simething a little lighter and less bulky thank my XD sub compact 9mm. Did I get a pretty good deal?

I think you did pretty good on that. They're a great carry revolver.

I think you will REALLY like it a lot as you get really comfortable shooting it.

Airweight J-frames are, IMHO, the best primary concealed carry handgun in existence.

Sure, there are bigger guns that carry more ammo . . . but this all adds to both weight and bulk . . . and weight and bulk become the enemy of ALWAYS being able to carry concealed in all situations!!!

These days, IF I can dress heavy enough to conceal a bigger/heavier gun than my Airweight I probably will.

BUT . . . that tiny little Airweight will STILL in my front pocket too, for it doesn't add weight or bulk anyway!

Yep, you are going to be glad you made this move . . . and appreciate the Airweight more and more with each passing day, week and year!

+1 on what Tom said for sure.

You did fine on the price. Around my neck of the woods they run 369.99-399.00.
