I was looking at Cast Performance bullets but they seem to have closed but can anyone recommend a good cast bullet for general use in a 454C levergun? A type? A style? Would prefer a GC so I can push it hard if desired.

Dick Casull’s original bullet is hard to beat. It is the Lymam 452629 FP-GC. usually weighs around 310 grains. Not sure where to find anyone selling them if you don’t cast.

If you are looking for pre-made gas checked bullets, Rimrock Bullets has some for 454 Casull/460 S&W, but they are expensive. I see a 325 grain and a 360 grain offering.
Beartooth? That was may favorite one also.

I use their 325 gr. in my Magnum Research BFR and my S/W 460 with very good results.
I use the 200 WFNGC in my 10mm. Don't know what I am going to do when I run out of my supply. I haven't seen a mold that matches it to cast my own.

Over the years I've bought from bothe MBW and Matts but nothing recently.
Just checked their respective prices. Wow, MBW is expensive. Memory (not what it used to be) was that Matts started out as best priced then got more expensive vs. MBW. Your current observation about price/value is well taken.
MBE does have some bullet configs and sizing options not avail elsewhere - certainly too expensive for casual use and only the individual can tell if it's worth the expense.

MBW prices have increased quite a bit lately. They are not “plinking” bullets by any means. I see/use them as premium hunting bullets. They are ladle poured and are top quality. I do cast some of my own, and for the work involved I wouldn’t sell mine for the price they charge.

Cast my own from Lee mold lots cheaper than buying from casters. Lee boolit casts around 310gr and has two crimp groves to seat long or short for .45 Colt loadings.

I've been using Montana for many years. Have bought mostly gc bullets for .44, .45, .454 and .50 Special. Usually available in a variety of diameters to suit different throat sizes. They also come stacked upright in the box so that the lube stays in place. Meticulous quality and consistency. You may not need that level of quality. I have no affiliation with them other than being a customer.
The last 2 years, I've switched to copper plated bullets for both cost and ease of cleaning. They are not appropriate though for heavy .454 loads.
