Good crop of Prickly Pear juice this year

I think you mentioned this and showed that picture and maybe a couple others when I brought this up a couple years ago when I started making this juice. Those drinks sound great.

I probably did, the picture represents my "happy place" and I keep a framed copy over my desk at work. I go to Tucson for a vacation every spring and rent the same Casita and a Mustang convertible so this pic has my patio, my convertible, and my prickly pear margarita.

Life is good for that two weeks!

If anyone is interested the margarita recipe is:

Throw a couple handfuls of ice in the blender, add 2 oz of prickly pear syrup, 4 ounces of Tequila, I use either reposada or anejo, no mixtos allowed! 3 oz of Solerno blood orange liquer, 2 oz of unconstituted limeade and 2 oz of fresh squeezed lime juice. Pulse the blender a couple times, serve in a salted margarita glass and let the good times roll!

I remember reading an Elmer Kelton book, I believe it was "The Time it Never Rained" where this cattle rancher rigged up a home made flame thrower in the back of his pick up, and road around his ranch burning the needles off of the prickly pear so that his cattle could eat them. A good read, by the way,
