I found one local thats only been used for 50 rounds (I'm sure everyone says that)

Anyway its for a 1911 Gov, Which is what my 1911PD 5" is right?

Just wanted to touch basis and see if these are worth it to get dailed in for pinshoots/accuracy. The price is 150$

Anyone run these? I need some feedback including the bad... I don't want to buy a crapy product.

I have one on my S&W 1911, only problem (and it's a big one) is the gun won't achieve "slide lock" upon an empty magazine. Spoke to the guys at LaserMax and was told it's not isolated to my gun, it's all S&W 1911's. The LaserMax unit replaces the guns existing take-down lever with one that has the on/off for the laser. It seems the take-down lever is different on the Smith guns. I only use mine at the range, so other than the slide lock issue I love it. It's easy to zero, and more importantly it retains zero very well.

while we are talking about laser sights, can anybody reccomend a decent one that mounts on a weaver rail, would love to put one on my model 41..

New CT grips are running $200 delivered.... They are adjustable and the switch is in the grip.
