Got a hygrometer for my safe, and I have a bunch of 8 unit dessicant bags I got from work from empty JSOW AGM 154B cases. What range should I be keeping the safe at? The bags don't have indicators, but can be recharged. I use my convection toaster oven.

I see some new ones on Amazon designed to be microwaved. Might get those if I get a second safe. Running out of room.

I don't have a Hygrometer or a Goldenrod in my safe, but it is in an air conditioned environment which is always between 41 and 48 percent humidity according to the humidity readings on my home's smart thermostat. I've never had any rusting issues so I think that is about right. I always wipe down a gun before it goes back in the safe. Seems to work just fine.

I prefer to keep my handguns lightly oiled & wrapped in VCI paper then stored in their original factory boxes. I don't use pistol rugs as they restrict air flow and can trap moisture. Long guns just get stood up in the racks inside the safe and wiped down with a light coat of gun oil.
