A day late and a dollar short, at least that's what they say. :-)

Had a pretty good week that just went whizzing by. My dear Mother would say: "Just wait until you are older, time will go flying by." If I could speak to her now, I would wholeheartedly agree. At about 40 years of age time suddenly hit overdrive and the accelerator is stuck wide open.

I haven't had a serious visit to the range in several weeks because of a problem with my right eye. I had laser cataract surgery in 2018 and now I can't focus it. My regular eye Doc thinks it is cells growing behind the lens and making my vision blurred. I could only read the large E on the eye chart last week.

Going today and see the surgeon. He is supposed to zap the cells with a laser so I can see again. I am praying that it works.

Summer is back in Dixie, currently 67° at 5:15 am. Maybe the current hurricane will bring a change back to "normal" conditions. It's too warm for heat and too cool for AC.

We had a great service at church yesterday, now if we could just convince the remainder of the regular attendees that we are really not contagious, and get them to come on back.

Enough of my ramblings, time to make coffee and get moving.

Have a blessed day and a great week,

Leon

Sorry to hear about your eye. I hope the procedure is a complete success. :)

I'm planning on going for a hike today. One of my favorite activities, I haven't been able to do it for months because of health issues. I'm still dealing with them, but I want to see how much I can handle so I can (hopefully!) ease back into it, while taking advantage of the nice weather.

*fingers crossed*

Hope the surgeon can get you out and shooting again.
I looked for your usual Sabbath morning post but didn't see it. I guess now I know why.
I hope you all have a good week.

Prayers for a successful surgery Joe. I'm off today to see a specialist about the arthritis that has started to advance real fast in my joints.

I'm still very blessed. Have a great week.

The use of sights is over rated. Point that blaster down range and let fly. At 15 yds if you get 24 holes in a sheet of copy paper after firing 25 or so rds ( gotta allow for a flyer or 3), you're good. I haven't seen the top of a gun in 10 years. Joe

Both the wife and I had to have this done a few years after our cataract surgeries. It was very quick, painless and it worked perfectly for us. I will pray that it works for you too.

In our morning texts to each other my uncle and I comment on how fast a week is going by. The best saying I've heard is: "Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer you get to the end the faster it goes."

I may have been in a different building but; I was in CHURCH with you yesterday!

Ivan

I was surprised at how much I missed regular Sunday Services.
I was surprised at how much I missed teaching the Senior Adults Sunday School class. We did drive-up services in the spring until it got too hot. Then we had on-line services. We are now in about the sixth week of meeting in person. We have a very abbreviated song service. We cut out the SS assembly, and just go straight into Sunday School. It has been a great success, with good attendance. We do our best to limit contact, but some is inevitable.

Hebrews 10:25, KJV:
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

Hope all goes well Ol' Joe yesterday was the first time to Church since March. Should have gone back sooner but ol devil made me lazy. The sermon was God and Government by Dave Miller very interesting and true. I'm home early today had to put the Freightliner in the shop with exhaust leak . The fumes coming into the cab was bad even with windows down.
