Good powder for 30/30

However, thank you for understanding.
Not everyone on the net agrees with that practice.
Nice to know I found a forum actually run by adults. -b

We are mostly adults anyway . I understand not bringing up some threads , some were not worth posting in to begin with . This one has good info that is still valid and I for one would rather read one long running thread on a good subject than to try to pick thru 100 on the same subject . Beats reading all the whining about " When are we gonna see primers and powder". :D

I've been on this board a long time. Turns out I answered the original OPs questions back in 2015. As a courtesy to those of us who contribute, always start a new thread when taking the subject in a different direction so that we don't have to wade through a bunch of old posts before answering. It is just much cleaner and easier.

I understand dla's post: I might comment that in 2015, when this thread originated, the available powders MOST appropriate for reloading the 30-30 may have been in short supply (as is likely today?), widely available or even unavailable...? Personally I needed to find and add a completely new rifle powder for this caliber. I don't know about that period because I didn't load 30-30 back then. I'm also unaware if 30-30 factory ammo was readily available then, or pretty tough to find as now?

For hunters, not reloading, this is quite important.

Things certainly loosened up in the following years (I wonder why?).

As a result I really appreciated the rebirth/resurrection of this thread because conditions have changed. New questions are raised and new answers given.

There's also always that VIEW FIRST UNREAD option...

Cheers!

Are you saying I skewed the thread?
I thought I kept it pretty much on subject....maybe I'm wrong?
