I have the chance to get a Model 14 in mint condition, and a K22 Masterpiece, (pre 17) also in mint condition in trade for a

Model 18, really good condition
Model 15 Good condition
Model 10, Good- condition

What do you all suggest. I would like the six inch barrels for more sight radius for these old eyes. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

That's a tough one to sort out, but roughly:
Model 18 $650 or so
Model 15 $450 or so
Model 10 $350 or so

Model 14 $435 or so
K-22 $800-1100 depending on features, condition, box/papers

I'd want it a whisker more in my favor to trade like that, but depending on condition and widgets you are in the ballpark.

Well,

Since the 2 you would be getting are mint , and one is a pre-17 I would say that is a fair trade. Maybe just a tad in the favor of the other guy , but when you factor in that you are wanting 6 inchers for your preference I would say it swings into your favor a little.

If 6 inchers are what you want then by all means make the trade.

They are all good guns tho.

Twig.

P.S. We will need some pictures too.

Basically you are trading two 4 inch guns in G-VG condition for the same two guns with 6 inch barrels in mint condition and throwing in a good used Model 10 as boot, does that about sum it up? If you're doing this with a dealer, it is probably about as good as you will get, but maybe you could get them to throw in a couple of boxes of ammo or holsters or something, but the value is pretty close. If this is just a person to person trade, you are probably giving away a little, but really not very much. Again, if the other guy would be willing to sweeten the deal, you would be closer to an even deal. This is all JMHO, and if you get what you want for what you are willing to give, that's what really matters.

He said "mint condition."
I suppose it depends on which Model 14 this is, but anything up to and including a dash 3 is worth significantly more than $435 if in 98% condition. For goodness sake, people are regularly paying that much for high condition Model 10s these days.

I actually think the proposed trade is pretty close to being dead-on fair to both sides. I'm not sure I would make it, but that's because I have a gun room full of K-38s and a few K-22s already. I don't have an 18 and I'm pretty short on Combat Masterpieces. On the other hand, the Padre's guns are not in high condition, according to his list, and the incoming guns are. Fair trade, I'd say!

Keep the 18 and the 10, try to trade the 15 for the 14. I have both the 6" 17-3 and 4" 18-3 and I'd keep the 18 even though I can't see the sights for nothing. joe

I would want to keep the Model 18 for the collection. They are desirable.
Trade the Models 15 and 10 plus $500 if money isn't a problem. Probably the Model 18 is the gun the other party really wants?

Model 15-$425
Model 10-$350

Model 14-$550
Pre-17 -$700

Just my opinion!:)
