Good ultra sonic cleaner

L&R is a high quality USC that I used for years, but last year I also invested in a Crest Ultrasonics unit and am very pleased with it, too. The Crest had a 1.5 gallon liquid capacity and will handle lots brass and many other parts needing a good cleaning.

L&R is one of the most popular USCs for Dentists, so they tend to price their stuff for professionals, you might do better price-wise with something else. Now, their stuff is excellent, don't get me wrong!

I have the Lyman that holds 2 quarts. It has the heat option. Make sure and get that because it helps when you are doing gun parts. I like it and it does a great job for the price.

Is that the Turbo Sonic 700? Not looking to clean cases. Just gun parts. Or would a Turbo Sonic 2500 be better for dunking a complete frame with barrel in?

I can tell you what isn't a good one.

I have the 2500. I can fit a gun with a 4" barrel. If you have a longer barrel you can leave part of the barrel out and then turn it around. Or you can get their longer model but I don't know what model. Just make sure to order the cleaner for metal and gun parts. Mine came with both. Don't get cheap and buy the off brand you can get on flea bay, it doesn't work.
The Lyman cleaner is a whole lot cheaper than the medical types and it does the same job.
