I am a big fan of Hogue Monogrips with finger grooves. They fit my hand great. I have rubber ones on all my N frames, but opted for these rosewood laminates for my K frame. Got these from www.midwayusa.com

I ordered these on-line from S&W. I really like the way they feel. Haven't checked lately but two years ago they were $79.95.

try gunbroker.com and type in "smith and wesson K frame grips"

i got a set from there of the old wood style ones for my daughter's model 64, because her hand is too small for the factory black fat ones.

Honestly? I'd use Hogue rubber monogrips. They aren't pretty, but just plain work.

If you insist on wood grips, I've always liked Badger, or factory combats if you can afford them.

With one exception all of my Smith revolvers are square butts. Most of them have the factory targets that they were shipped with. I have very large hands and these grips seems to work just fine. On one of my 617s I have the same Rosewood square butt combats that RonJ shows on his gun. They are excellent and fit my hands very well. On my one round butt gun, a 686-6, I've put on a set of Nill "coke" round-square conversion grips. They are wonderful, absolutely the most comfortable grips, rubber or wood that I've ever had. Unfortunately, they're extremely pricey, costing north of $200. But, worth every single penny in my opinion. I'm thinking of buying a set for my 27 (they make a square butt N-frame version of the same grip) but, my wife will kill me if she finds out.

I just put the Hogue smooth, finger-grooved, wooden monogrips (#10800)on my 19-3. Before that I had a set of S&W presentation grips on it, before that a set of factory target stocks. Even with a larger hand, the mono-grips feel great. I bought the smooth set, yet they really don't slip with the finger grooves. Smith factory combats are also great, but getting very pricey. Midway USA has a large selection of Hogue grips and S&W factory combats can be found on this forum, as well as, ebay and gunbroker.

I have Ahrends on the M19 and Eagles on the 66 and 629.

The bottom revolver is a N frame square butt (M-624) with Hogue grips, very comfortable and, for me, point well. can be had for K, L frame SB or RB.
I also like the top w/ Jerry Miculak, but I think you will only find them in RB N frame.

I am partial to Ahrends finger groove wood grips on my K frames. They fit my hand perfectly and look good besides.

I am a big fan of Hogue Mono grips! I just installed my fourth set last night (Kingwood finger grooved) on my new 27-9. Can't say enough good things about Hogue or their customer service!

I know it's old school, but in my experience the best grips (or stocks) for double-action shooting with a K-frame are JORDAN TROOPERS from HERRETTS.
They have all of the aesthetics of a mud fence, but they let you control the gun better than any other that I've tried.
However, if your hand is on the small size, forget it...
