I love the smell of wet internet ink in the morning.

Sorry, to much coffee I guess.

And a "Good Morning" to you sir!

This is a picture perfect Saturday here in beautiful New England. After a long work week that ended with a 12 hr. day yesterday, I awoke (no alarm clock!) to, sunshine, 72 degrees and a
slight Spring breeze.

I am taking my time to have a couple of cups of coffee while chatting with my friends here, and then I have the whole day to do whatever I feel like doing. This will include adjusting the brakes on the restored 1960 Willy's Jeep that I have been working on for the past two years.

I may go to the range for some .22 plinking, or play a little golf. Since I just took the hard top off the jeep, I am sure that I will be using it in my travels today!

What do you folks have planned?

Good Morning as well, we're looking at
having a dead solid perfect spring weekend,
mid 70s, little wind and big sun in the
cobalt blue sky of souteastern washington
state - dryland wheat country of long vistas
of rolling hills.

Waiting for my shooting buddy and getting to
the range.. maybe get one of those BG targets
to put patterns of holes into.

LIfe is good,

Randall

Thirty four degrees with winds gusting to 50 mph here in Michigan's U.P. this morning.
Al Gore must have been making a speech about global warming in the state again!

70 degrees, overcast and muggy here in north east PA... one of those days where your feet stick to the tile floor....

The day started off rainy and wet, but now the sun's out with a nice breeze. I love Spring.

Too wet to mow the grass so I'll have to haul firewood up to the pile. Need to rent a splitter again as my maul doesn't seem to be able to split wood like it used to.

Guess you'll have to start with the beer a bit earlier than usual to bring yourself back down.

Just now getting out of bed. Had an overnight camp out Thursday with 50 Wildland Fire fighters. I worked a prescribed burn in Cloverdale,New Mexico. We lit up 2500 acres in the bootheel country on the famous Grey(Diamond A) Ranch. I was Engine Boss of a two thousand gallon water tender. Very easy duty for a 58 YO greybeard.

Was back in Portal before Sundown Friday. Mind you this is a 60 mile trip that take over two hours, most of it off pavement, with a lot of weight to stop.

My wife was off early this AM to take the annual Wildlands refresher course. This course and the arduous pack test qualifies her for a Red card. By the way at 125 lbs she holds the record in our dept for the pack test. Test is walking 3 miles in 45 minutes with a 45 lb pack.

I did my test in 43 min 30 sec, she did it in 40 min and change.

Now get over to the fairgrounds and buy all those old Smith&Wessons.
I talked on the phone with one of the members of the range and he said the line to get in was out in the street and people were buying ammo like crazy. Oh, the crack about my meds, I liked that. Very funny.

Glad all is well with you ol' friend...It's rainin' like a cow pi$$in' on a flat rock here in north Texas. Hope it clears off this evening so I can grill a steak and plink a few rounds.

Su Amigo,
Dave

Morning started off fine. Supposed to be 70 today.Son in law called about 11. He's discharged from the hospital & needed a ride home. Had neck surgery. Did that & stopped at the gun shop on the way home. Was going to BBQ but forgot to take the steaks out of the freezer. Just another day in paradise.
