A few days ago while driving I let the radio scan on the FM band.
It stopped on a college station in Boston and this song came on.

It just rocked me because I remember it well but have totally forgotten about it. :(

I have put two links covering the song, the first is Taylor Pie singing with the The Cumberland Trio in 2004.

The second is the original recording in 1968 by the Pozo Seco Singers.

I did enjoy the Taylor Pie rendition, tho I'd never heard it before.

I do have this to pass on Joe. You start letting these old songs bring a "tear or two"; it won't be long before you get all choked up about a T V ad concerning a roll of soft "striking paper" or some kind of miracle cure for piles.

Thanks, Lab.
Song rang a bell so distant it may have been my imagination.
Interesting was to see the gal sing the song twice 35 some years apart.
Good pure voice, enjoyed it sometimes sentimental sap I am.
