Got a 2 inch like new model 12 nickel ser. number D9903xx its a 12 dash 2 . Any idea when made and also the hammer looks kind of narrow but it does match the trigger . The nick finish is flawless I was going to ccw it now I dont know I dont see alot of these . I have holster rigs speed loaders and all for it . Maybe I stick with my glock 22

Standard Catalog shows your Model 12 was made in 1976-1977. Serial number range for these years was D870001-D999999.

12-1,12-2 and 12-3 have the narrower (thickness)grip frame. 12-4 production adopted the standard K frame thickness in the grip. You will find regular K frame grips do not fit the Dash 1,2 or 3's.

There is an ongoing debate on the use of +P ammo in the Airweights.

Personally, I don't abuse my airweights with +Ps and stick with standard velocity 38 Specials.
