In WA state we can now only buy handguns with maximum 10 rounds capacity. And the irony is that I just got my first MA compliant gun without looking for or wanting one.
Ordered a regular SIG P220 .45 Legion, pre R2 (don't want the optics cut), and surprise-surprise, received a MA compliant one. Made me bit angry for a second when I saw the label on the box. So, I get an 8+1 dinosaur for WA compliance (except that I really like the single stack P220 and I would buy them even being in a free state), and then I am slapped with a MA compliance on top. Not being familiar with what exactly MA compliance means, things such as mag disconnector, ugly loaded chamber indicator, and/or super heavy DA, went through my mind.
Fortunately, the only MA compliance detail is a hole in the barrel hood and the gun is otherwise superb, flawless fit and finish, perfect DA/SA trigger, nice decocker action. Perfect frame to slide fit too.
The hole may possibly be a useful feature after all.
In the end I am happy with my MA compliant gun.
