Well about a month and a half ago I got an M&P9 compact for concealed carry. I loved it so much more than my XD9sc that I sold that and I've now got an M&P9 full size on the way...someone has to stop me before I order the 5" version!

That now brings my pistol stable to:
M&P9c
M&P9fs
Sigma 9mm

Is there a cure for the S&W disease?

No cure -- just enjoy it. I started with one (a modified1911A1) about 55 years ago. I've probably sold at least 2 dozen pistols and revolvers over the decades. I presently own around 1-1/2 dozen of them, including 3 revolvers, and I have handguns in calibers: .22 LR, .32 Auto, 9mm Luger, .40 S&W, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .45 ACP, and 10 mm Auto. I've sold all my .380 Auto and .44 Magnum guns.

So far I've only sprung for the 9FS, 40FS,45FS and last Friday the 45C.
They are all great weapons.

Enjoy your toy.

9mm Pro

For the little difference in cost, I would recommend the M&P 9mm Pro - match barrel, better trigger. I love mine - easy to shoot and way more accurate than I am. Enjoy!

I subscribe to the duty/carry weapon -- practice/training weapon method. I normally carry a Commander size M1911 but put the bulk of my rounds downrange thru a Government Model. Same way for the M&P Pistol although I only have the regular model at present. If I bought a compact I'd retain the full size as the training pistol.

45FS and 40C. I am really happy. Now I want 9mm conversion barrel for the 40C and some magazines.
45FS is really really nice.
