Got my first

Bought a pre-26 S&W, got it in this week. Am really pleased with it; the barrel had been cut to 4.75 inches. Got it a shooter's price. I have never owned one, but wanted to. The 6.5 that I have seen on the sites are too expensive for my semi-retired pocket book. All numbers match, even on the diamond service grips. Would show pictures, but computer ignorant. If that's the one that was on GunsAmerica I should be mad at you. When I saw the posting I was immediately ready to jump on it...until the more details part that said it was already sold.

I'll be philosophical and say I didn't see it soon enough and congratulate you on a good find.

My first

Dave T, it was the one on GA. I did not mention in my first statement, who ever did the work on cutting down the barrel made it look as if it were factory. That gunsmith knew what he was doing. Sorry I shot you out of the saddle on it. I missed a 1950 Target .44 spec on GA, it went for $789 to 895, don't really remember. RJH
