I bought the gun new in the early 1980's. The guy selling it had several like this one, each had a 45 ACP cylinder and an additional cylinder chambered for 45 Colt. Mine has all the paperwork that came with it under the flocked plastic in the box, along with several full moon clips and another set of (unopened) tools.

Obviously I was hoping it lettered as factory supplied but that was not the case. Still happy I found out for sure.

45 LC Cyl

Sir, be careful when you buy 45 LC ammo! You LC cylinder is shorter than the 25-5 LC cylinder and you will need ammo with a shorter OAL to chamber in your cylinder without the bullet sticking out the front of the cylinder.

I have not found that to be the case at all. I make up my own handloads to the specifications in reloading manuals including overall length. Never had any problem over the past 40 years. I used factory ammo for the first two or three boxes in order to get the brass. No issues there either.

I have not had the 45 ACP cylinder in it for perhaps 15 years. It's a blast tearing the center out of paper with the 45 Colt ammo.
