Been lucky here in my area of the Northeast. Virtually nothing in Dec. or Jan. About 4 inches so far for Feb. Can't believe Arizona and much of the mid-west. 2015 was the worse I recall. 103 inches from Jan. 26 to late March. Think my blood pressure shot up cause of that.

I read the other day that it has only rained twice here this winter. One time for 47 days and the other time for 35 days. Larry

Most of northwest Iowa and southern Minnesota is shut down.
Plows were pulled last night in the northwest quarter of Iowa.
Looking at the 511 map strange to see no plows in operation. Travel not advised.

I90 is closed across most of southern Minnesota. I35 is blocked in several places in Iowa & MN.

Wind is the problem, 30+mph steady, gusts to 55-60.

I live in the U.P. of Michigan in a section referred to as the Banana Belt and this is the snowiest I've seen. The animals are going to have a rough go to survive 'till spring. Then the flooding will start.

For the people that are new to snow here is a tip for you. Shovel off your roof. Consider the weight factor. Roofs collapsing is a very real thing.

As for the deer picture, I believe it's fake too, because the deer I feed can't move off their trails without jumping to move when the snow gets up to their bellies.
