Now I just have to wait for the 5 day adoption wait lol got the model with the thumb safety for 530 supporting a local dealer at the same time. Next paycheck ill order 2 fs mags and x grips and a good kydex holster then the next toy...thinking a s&w 642 hammerless

wow 5 days to wait, Wisconsin is 2 and it can seem like an eternity.

i got my M&P .40c today :D told them ill take it, walked out of the store 7 minutes later with it haha 4 mags, holster, almost unfired gun....$400 flat :-D

Nice it will just be nice to get back to shooting other than the m9s 16 and 14s

Regarding the wait, I grew up in PA and the wait (at that time) was 3 business days. That was a real PITA if you travel and see something you'd like to buy. Then I lived in Iowa for a while. there you get a purchase permit and fold it and keep it in your wallet. In NC (where I am now) there is similar provisions. The permits cost $5 per gun and the wait in my county is 10 days (or more). However if you have a CWP, there is no wait and actually no permit is needed. I pull out my CWP, Driver's license, and credit card and 15 minutes later I have the gun in the car.

Enjoy the new gun! I have two S&W M&Ps, a 9 and a 22 and I also have one in a CO2 powered BB gun.

Picked it up yesterday and went to the brand new cabelas bought a Serpa and some overpriced WWB and proceeded to fire 100 rounds out with no Failures was really impressed with the trigger and accuracy! only complaint is my magazine w/o the finger rest but thats easy to change. Next will be FS .40 mags and x grips and a kingtuck holster for ccw. Serpa is a little to bulky for summer wear.

Congrats on the new piece...I got my M&P9c about 10 minutes after I paid for it :D Love Indiana...oh and $125 lifetime carry permits, too

I grudgingly picked up a G26 because I wanted a small concealable gun for when I'm out walking or just can't manage to carry anything larger but I never liked it...small but small in all the wrong places. I traded it for an M&P9c with thumb safety and I am in heaven! I never thought I would love, let alone just like, a sub-compact pistol but that gun is just the right size and it just an absolute blast to shoot.

Post a pic or two and let us know how it behaves at the range!

I have owned my mp40c for a little over 3 yrs. and absolutely love it! I carry in a galco summer comfort for ease of concealment and a blackhawk serpa for range use. I recently picked up a 637 AIRWEIGHT for warm weather and i carry that roscoe in an uncle mikes inside-the-pocket holster....sometimes i dont even notice im carrying it!
M&P FOR LIFE!
