Governor?

I have tried two Governors over the years. Both had problems stabilizing certain .45 ACP bullets, especially cast bullets. Recoil with any real service grade .45 Colt load was harsh. The sights were not ideal. I will not buy one because I refuse to own a revolver that won't shoot cast bullets.
Remember the Governor is meant to be an up close and personal weapon. So if it hits center mass with 45acp at 10 yrds, it meets it’s intended purpose.

I bought a Judge at a pawn shop for under $300, It had a huge pattern. So, I got a short barrel for one, and reamed it to .452 to remove the factory rifling, then I cut new shallow rifling that is about 1 turn in 25' so it is not a smooth bore. It now patterns #6 shot about the size of a dinner plate at 20 yard and the shot goes through 1/2 OSB. If I want to shoot real bullets I have lots of S&W 45 acps and 45 colt revolvers. The Judge rides around in my truck or side by side loaded with 3" 6 shot during hunting season. It kills pheasants and grouse.
