I really wanted a cut down New Service, .45 or .44 Spl., and found this chopped 1917. A Python smooth action and great front sight. $595 plus tax. Smooth as silk action with no stacking. Here's my first try at posting a picture with text. If it doesn't work look at my last post "test" on this forum. Next I'll

learn how to take good pictures.

That was the weird part. Having the money right then. At this Sacramento gun show I had just sold an old Colt DA 38 Colt. That was what made this happen. There's a couple of sawed off New Services' that pop up on this forum. That's what really got me hooked.

Hi Burp

I have been looking for a donor for two years to
scratch the same itch.
Actually found a very good nickled conversion
on GB.A little less than yours but not as nice.

Yours has "the look" and the grips and T grip
really pull it together.Really great looking
package.
The other thing, yours has a python action,
my action is smooth but heavy enough to use
as a grip development exersise tool.

Thanks for posting your new Grail.

That is a great New Service you're selling here! I saw it a few days back. I'm surprised you haven't sold that yet. It has the early frame as I recall. And cheaper than mine was. More effort to handloat and shoot tho.
