Well, it was pretty good, considering how much country music has changed, and not for the better. However, having spent most of my life listening to Opry, I was disappointed that there wasn't more about the pioneers-Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Grandpa Jones, Lefty Frizzell, Jim Reeves, Hank Snow, etc.

What was really disappointing was the section on bluegrass music. I like Allison Krause, but her musical selection wasn't really BG. Heck, they didn't even have a banjo player!

I know. What's Bluegrass without a banjo. May be
an indication of where Nashville is now. Hopefully
the pendulum moves back soon.

My dad and I would work Saturday's on my grandparent's farm. That night we would listen to the Gran Old Opry on the ride home.

How well I remember riding in my dad's '56 Buick, windows down, on a hot August Saturday night and listing to WSM. That car tube radio had a 60 cycle hum too.

Clear Channel WSM was owned by the Insurance industry and stood for WE SELL MILLIONS.

I like most all types of country music including Blue Grass. Wish I could have watched the Opry 100 show but I give up on TV several years ago, no cable or satellite. Some of the performances are popping up on YouTube.
I get to see Alison Krauss in concert this summer.
I've recently picked up several BG LPs, Osborne Brothers and others.

I Thought WSM stood for World Sausage Market.

I'm sorry I missed Post Office Malone singing Jackson (Not)

The best cover of Jackson I ever heard was by Flatt Lonesome. I tried to post it but couldn't get Spotify to cooperate.
