I'm considering buying a gray/black 44 Magnum '56-'59 box. There appears to be three tool spaces that, unfortunately, are empty. Can anyone tell me which are the right tools (SAT, etc) for this box?

Thank you,

Mark

I believe these are what you're looking for (cleaning rods came in different lengths depending on barrel).

Those tools are sort of what you're looking for, but not exactly. Some of our Forum gurus will be along to tell you exactly what should have been included in your case, but there were different styles of tools at different times. Cleaning rods were made of different materials and different lengths, and there were a few different styles of Sight Adjustment Tools (SAT...looks like a screwdriver). You can expect to pay quite a bit of $ for a correct vintage SAT, but usually the cleaning rods and bore mops are more reasonably priced. Good hunting!

Hawg Rider, when I was looking for an original brass ended MOP and brush, the prices were anything but reasonable to me. But, I also found if you wanted to get them, you better pay up, because the prices will only go higher!

Mark, if you end up picking up the case, please post pictures. Here is how I have mine set up with a refurbished interior. The rod and sight tool are original to the gun, not sure of the brushes.
