Had a cookout yesterday. I cooked 40 hamburgers and
about that many hot dogs. The wife bought the Berger's and
hot dogs at Sam's, they were full of grease and when I
finished cooking I scrubbed the grill with a wire brush and
put the top down to burn some of the left over grease.
Before you know it flames were shooting up and smoke
was every where. One of the guest was a Nashville fire
fighter and ask if I had [BAKING SODA] I said yes and
put some on the fire it went out like a light bulb. I have
been told that before but forgot. So I am posting this
to remind everyone about [BAKING SODA]
Happy fathers day Don:)

IIRC baking soda is the main ingredient in home fire extinguishers and in the foam used at
airports.

Salt works too, as in rip off the end of big container, not a salt shaker. This kind of info should be made available to goofs like me that need all the help they can get. If you printed out emerg. info an put in in a folder in the kitchen who knows what kind of bad results could be avoided. I found out the other day from a couple farm girls, flour is used as a coagulant when de horning cattle. I've always used powdered stiptik when pets have an accidental wound.
