I received this gun from an 87 year old friend who has collected firearms for many years. He has no recollection of when or where he bought this pistol, and he has never fired it. It has been a safe queen for him all these years, and it is in PRISTINE condition. It has no original box and therefore I can only rate it as 99%. But you will not find another in better condition.
These were test fired by Colt before being sold and they supposedly cleaned them prior to sale. This one may have had just a few more rounds put through it because I did clean only a very small amount of residue out of the barrel. The slide could barely move due to old grease or oil, another sign of how long it had sat without use. I cleaned and oiled it and took the photos you see. There is not a mark on any part of it as you will see in the photos. Grips are perfect. Locking lugs are perfect. Everything is perfect. (The end of the barrel is truly polished even though the photo doesn't look like it.)
Photos don't do it justice. The blueing is beautiful.
Gun comes with the original magazine and a second magazine of unknown origin (it doesn't say Colt on the end). Also includes a cleaning brush and rod (unused) and will be shipped in a modern plastic lockable box.
Asking $1950 including insured shipping from my FFL to yours.
