So while buying my M&P 22, I didn't even know the barrel was threaded. They don't advertise that very well. So I bought the Gemtech adaptor that screws on. Well the threaded cap was so tight the wrench just bent open. I tried re-bending the wrench several times in a vice with no luck. I ended up using some channel locks 
to take it off, but of course it got mangled in the process.
I sent an email to S&W/Walther customer service and they sent me a new cap and wrench for free! Very nice, I was expecting to have to pay for it.
