I have a Holosun 407C on my FDE.

I have a Spec Series, with suppressor height sights, on the way and wanting to put a dot on that too, but a smaller unit as the 407C is a tad bulky IMO.

Must be a green dot and I must still be able to use the irons with it.

What are my best options?

I know it's next to heresy on this forum, but you might take a look at Crimson Trace. I have four of their optics on different guns, one is red, three are green dots. Their two primary pistol models are the CT RAD (full size guns) and the CT RAD Micro (micro's).

I just put a CT RAD green dot on a full size Carry Comp with tall optic height sights. It co-witnessed perfectly. The CT RAD has brightness adjustment, off-on switching and a top mount battery. The micro's have the battery on the bottom, but I'm going on year three with two that have never been replaced. I prefer the non-pro models.

In my opinion, CT's which sell in the $150 or less range (Amazon), are hard to beat for the price.

I should add one thing - most optic ready S&W pistols are included in their current rebate program which is a free Viridian RFX15 green dot. You can check the SKU on their website to confirm your gun. My only issue with that is Viridian calls the RFX15 a micro and I'm not sure how it matches up on a full size gun with tall sights?
