Hello everyone from rural Missouri.
Since its traditional to tell folks a little about my S&W affliction, I bought my first new Smith (a 3"heavy bbl model 36-1) in 1966 while on active duty in the military and my most recent in 2002 (a S&W model 1911). In between I've owned many . . . only wish I had kept them all. Most of the Smiths I still own are hand ejectors, but have four semi-autos that I love (models 41, 46, 52, & 1911). If I had to give an area of particular interest it would be early post-WWII hand ejectors.
I am member #853 of the S&WCA and was active until 2003 when I got distracted restoring old cars . . . 50s era Oldsmobiles in particular. Got that out of my system and now just enjoy driving them. Being retired and not crawling around under old cars, I now have more time on my hands to pursue other interests . . . like guns in general and Smith & Wessons in particular.
Your site is fantastic. I look forward to renewing old friends, making new ones and learning from everyone . . . and hope to contribute a little now and then.
Thanks for allowing me to participate.
