Yes, read about that this morning. Not much detail in the news article right now but it’s hard to wrap my head around the “why”……WTH snapped?
I feel so sorry for that couple and those poor children witnessing the what happened..

Being next door as it were, Memphis news has been following this story. ASP is sure they have the right guy. The two daughters witnessed the crime. No details have been released yet as to motive.
Honestly, it seems that mental illness is running rampant in our society these days. Very little surprises me anymore. Especially when it comes to senseless crime.

The death penalty is totally appropriate in this case. Mandatory in my mind. Unfortunately the defense will put a couple phycologists on the stand to prop up an insanity plea. Then what will we do with him if that succeeds? Spare us all and execute him quickly and quietly. The terror those two little girls went through, and will live through for the rest of their lives calls for capital punishment.

I can recall a local (at the time) small timer that up and killed first a cop -that he'd grown up with, they knew each other- during a stolen car stop, then while fleeing, a mother and daughter (stole their car). While serving a life sentence, he killed a prison guard. Wasn't any doubt at all about the first 3. Can't recall why he didn't get the chair.

McGann’s dead stare is being compared to Bryan Kohberger’s. I can see the resemblance. Both are psychopaths and deserving of instant extermination. No specific details have been provided, but it seems that McGann’s career as a teacher contained some disturbing incidents and in 2023 he was placed on administrative leave in Texas. News articles state there was no provocation for the murders, other than McGann’s desire to perform random murder, much like Kohberger’s.

It's revolting to think of what happened to these folks, and the damage inflicted on their poor children. The kids will suffer from this in so many ways for the rest of their lives. The cretin who did this is a monster.

I'm reading "Left of Bang." While the book is tedious and repetitious, it does give me food for thought. How did the murderer vary from the baseline defined in the book? To the casual observer, he may appear mainstream normal, following the baseline. Still, it seems >something< should have appeared off kilter. Observing the murderer with a Left of Bang critical eye may identify anomalies. Of course, identifying an anomaly cluster is insufficient for preemptive actions. Presumed innocence is, or should be, a hallmark of our country's core values. So, short of things like red flag laws, how can monsters like this be stopped before they act? I have no answers.
