Hello. This is a great forum! I have been using this forum to do a lot of research before buying my first revolver. I have been a 1911 guy for about 10 years and its time to branch out.

Since I'm stationed in CA, I had to buy one off the list, and on Monday I will take delivery of my first S&W, a Model 27-9 (Classic series). I can't wait! Thanks for all the info.

Adam - Welcome from the Devil's Playground! :D

Also...from a former vet to a current one...thank you for your service to our great country! And congrats on your new purchase. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! :D

Greetings from Kansas. I am sure you will enjoy your newest purchase. I have had a couple of 27s (I kick myself for parting with my 27-2 3.5 inch) and now have a 28 in my safe. Gotta have at least one N-frame to keep my sanity!

Welcome from OK. You'll find the Forum a good place to learn a great deal, exchange information and meet some knowledgeable and interesting Smith & Wesson folks.

Greetings, Marine!
Welcome aboard.
USMC, high desert and California. You must be up there in pleasant old 29 Palms.
I was there for a weekend in 1982. It was different. I never went back. Always a little chilly up there. I am down here in the USMC ARIZONA low desert. I stay warm here.
There have been a couple Marines on this forum that were in 29 Palms. You may meet them here.

PS.
I noticed that 0302. One of those.
I used to be 5950, now Civil Service.

RdRBill,

Guilty as charged. I hope you don't hold it against me being an 0302:D

29 is nice this time of year.

I have taken delivery of my first S&W (probably not my last) revolver; M27 Classic with a 4 inch barrel. I'm breaking her in this weekend and can't wait.
