Hello from one of the most anti-gun states we have in this great Country (and it's not a competition I want to win). I'm new to the forum and new to "collecting" S&W, but my first firearm was a S&W K frame in 1980. When I say new to "collecting", I mean I have a good number of S&W firearms but I've just started acquiring the antique models that I will never shoot. I guess subconsciously I've always distinguished between shooting (and being a shooter) and collecting (and being a collector). I just hope I end up being a better collector than I am a shooter.

My home county is Rockland. While NY is a very constrained area,I've always found a ton of old S&W wheel guns running around the area.
