Greetings$all,

I've been lurkiog on thg forum off and on for a few years and finally decided to make an "honest" man of myself.

I've been shooting/collecting Smiths for about 15 years, though my "collection" is small by serious collector standards. I've spent many, many hours with the Supica, Jinks, and Neal/Jinks books. Lots of good reading there and always something new to learn.

As you might guess from my user name, my primary interest is N frames, the older the better. I've currently got seven: 2 M28-2s (1-4", 1-6"), 1 29-2 (6"), 1 1955 Target (6 1/2"), 1 625-2 (5" Model of 1988) and 2 25-5s (1-4", 1-6"). I also have a 66-3 (2 1/2", my "carry"), a K-22 from 1948, and a 1979 M41 (w/2 5" barrels).

I'd love to some day have all the "2x" models (M20,M21, M22, etc. or the "roaring twenties" as I like to call them), but that seems unlikely given the prices I'm seeing. I just keep my eyes open and keep haunting the shops, the shows and the 'net.

Sometimes you get lucky.

This forum is a goldmine of information. Thanks to you all for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm.

Regards,

Glenn

Hi Glenn, Welcome to the Forum. I'm Shooboy, and I live in Rochester, NY. Lots of incredibly nice, wonderful people here. I don't know where you are in Upstate but if you ever want to take a ride to Victor they have some N-Frames for sale there at Pro-Gun Services. At least they did a few weeks ago. There may be some listed on their website at Pro-Gun Services L.L.C. Take care, Shoo

Shooboy, I'm also in Rochester. All of the N frames except the 625 were purchased at Pro-Gun. Tim and the staff there are great.

Welcome from Texas Glenn. Great forum, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

N frame I am an NY upstater too. Live in the Catskill area, where do you live? maybe we could do some ftf trading some day in the future.
