Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2016, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

Well, iffn you'd add species to that "without regard to" clause, that might get past the PC lawyers.

In all seriousness, Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! (And a hearty "Bah Humbug" for the PC crowd.)

What did he say?????

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from an Alabama Redneck.
ROLL TIDE

You omitted "gender", and have thereby committed an act of microaggression. The Forum's Vice President of Diversity will likely take a dim view of this. Meanwhile, I'm going to curl up in my safe space until my trauma subsides.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Merry Christmas to all!

I simply sling a

Merry Christmas!

All are free to take it or leave it. ;)
If anyone takes offense at a sincere good wish, I shall leave that to them.
Ain't nobody got time for that! :D

I will take your post and 5-shots like as humor. If not meant as humor then may I suggest you re-think your idea of humor. I believe that no one on this forum is going to post what I did and it not be meant as humor.

Humor is the way it was meant and never thought anyone would take it any other way. Unfortunately, I used quick reply which does not allow the smiley thingies. My bad.:D:D:D:D:D

No sweat, guy. Last year on another forum I got a real reaming about this bit of humor.

That's funny and sad at the same time because of what our
great country has sunk to in this PC culture.

It hasn't sunk that far, folks. The easily offended and the PC police (notably on college campuses) make a lot of noise and get a lot of press, which they like; but I firmly believe that they are still a minority.

Merry Christmas. Belated happy Hanukkah. Happy Kwanzaa. Merry Yule. Happy holidays. Whatever works for you.

My choice is still merry Christmas, and nobody has jumped me about it so far.

The banner yet waves.

Happy Solstice to you also...it is so nice to see someone that has adapted to the warmed softer American way....heaven forbid that anyone in our great country get offended....I think you have written the perfect greeting...

How dare you call me a "Wishee." I am a proud descendant of the Eastern Washee tribe. Not known for bravery, hunting skill, teepee building or any other particulary useful trait. We do however have a sexual preference, afternoon, about an hour past lunch. Merry "short daylight" to you. Joe
