Grip Guru's Needed

Picked up some grips, 2 are mint and 2 are need of help, and I hope I can bring them back as much as possible. Im not versed very well on all the different styles of grips and ballpark value. Let me know.

Minty set #1 K-Square set of grips, numbers stamped on back is 978XX - Look like taken off day pistol was sold and stored correctly.


Minty Set #2 J-Round set of grips, numbers stamped on back is 7896XX - Look in amazing shape, diamonds are super shape and only show light handling.


Worn Set #1 K-Round set of grips, numbers stamped on back is 404X11 - worn, but all diamonds are still very sharp, LH side as burn mark.


Worn Set #2 K-Round set of grips, numbers are stamped on back but cant really make them out 6 digits - Worn dark and a light crack. diamonds are yet again still sharp


Any help with year and value. Im going to try and restore the worn set later this spring

any idea on what year they are from? thanks VM

I'd guess by the style and SN of the K-frame square butt grips they are from about late 1949- early 1950 (C series). Of course, all your diamond grips would pre-date the late 1960s and be no older than post-WWII.
