Grip Identification Help

Are these N or K frame grips and are they S&W grips or aftermarket?

The emblem isn't clear enough to tell for sure, but I'd say N Frame and non factory aftermarket.

Thanks. A friend said he had them and offered them to me. He thought they were for an N frame, but the placement of the washers looked more like they were for a K frame to me so I told him I couldn't use them either.

K-frame Targets

The photos are at funny angles, but based on the proportions and the location of the medallions I would also guess factory K frame Target stocks.

K Target, appear to be factory. BTW, the stock washers on both K and N stocks are the same and placed identically. The difference between K and N stocks is all on he back strap, portion, from the "knuckle", tapering to about 50-60% down from the knuckle. Look at the width of the shoulder behind the washer. These are K stocks. The shoulder behind the washer is nearly twice as wide on N stocks.

Perhaps this will help also. If the wood in the “red” appears to be less than half the “yellow” measurement, it’s K/L. If more than half, N-frame.
