I came across a set of S&W SB Grips, they are service type shaped, diamond checkered with no medallion, the top is rounded not concaved. What year do these hail from and whats the going value of them in good shape, no major chips, checkering is worn thou still present, pencil serial on back.

These sound to be about a $40-50 set of stocks, depending on exactly on the degree of checkering wear.

Depends on the frame size. What are they? J,K,N,? What is the serial number stamped on the back side of the right panel? Ed.

Not sure about the specifics, they are in the mail.

But here is a photo of condition. I didn't think they were all that bad considering age.

They are in reasonably good condition, but not prime. They strike me as probably being for an N-frame, and if so, they are worth more. I have not seen any of the 1920s grips with either stamped or penciled SNs on the back. They may well exist, but I just haven't seen any.
