Grip Maker ?

These are the grips that came on my recent 19-3 acquisition, which was like new, appears to have had very few if any rounds through it. Came with a beautifully finished set of wood grips, was wondering if anyone could identify who made these (I blanked out the name of the person that appears to have been the original purchaser just to protect his privacy) ?

I have a set like that too, but for J frame. Cannot find anything just by Googling.

The finish on them is incredibly smooth, looks almost like appearance of glass, I do not know anything about woodworking, but pretty sure it is not just a stain, wondering if it is some sort of shellac or polyurethane finish.

I see these on eBay occassionally. One of the sellers who had them listed at one point had a business card from the maker included in the photographs which led me to believe Cobra Handgun Stocks was likely a small custom maker from the 1980s-1990s (based on the designs) who probably sold on the gun show circuit and/or via publications like Shotgun News and such, as was common back then before the internet.

All the sets I've seen appear to be nice grips, yours included.

I'm betting CKR is Combat-K frame-Round Butt and not the maker.

There is a person on GunBroker.com that is doing business as "gun professor" that has grips very much like those. This person is out of Wilkes Barre. You might want to compare your grips to his offerings.

I got your pics, and a definite yes, must be the same maker, I am no forensic handwriting analyst, but obviously same style lettering on your grips as on mine. Thanks.

Here are mine. Came from a forum member a few weeks ago. They are a bit large for a CCW J frame, in my opinion. So, I put them on this Model 34 snub for comfortable plinking and paper punching. They look nice.
