Grip Material Question

I’m in need of a temporary pair of grips for a square butt L frame. They will be used until I can locate suitable permanent grips. Been thinking of Hogue, either rubber or nylon. Is there an advantage to one material or the other? Is the nylon more slick than the rubber. This is a 6” revolver so no concerns about concealing and the grip clinging to a cover garment. I'm not sure the harder nylon Hogue Monogrip is still available new, but it is slicker than the rubber version.

In the category you mentioned you might give VZ Grips a look they're made of a laminate synthetic that is not a grabby as Hogue's rubber.

Rubber style grips are great for absorbing recoil and firmness of grip. That said, I find that they grab clothing because of their stickiness, are usually too large for ease of concealment, and I have had two pair of Pachmeyer's have their steel supports cut through the rubber and rust 2 gun grip frames. If you still want rubber grips, Uncle Mikes are a better choice as they have no metal in the middle. Not sure if UM's are still made - but they might be available on fleabay.
