Grip Question

I just bought a model 19 that had these grips on it. They are not correct to the gun. I know they are 68 or prior due to the diamonds. My question is does anyone know what vintage they are possibly due to the slight relief on the one grip top area? Or is that something someone modified on the grip?

My guess is that they started life as non-relieved K frame diamond targets from the 1950s such as those shown below. They could be later though with the football cutout which has been removed and smoothed. We've seen worse modifications of target stocks.
