As you struggle in your search I hope your thread allows you to emerge with an answer.
I'm a fan of wood not rubber, and I believe my 3" 1989 Model 36-3 and 60-3 Lady Smiths offers a viable option for you.
S&W had these stocks designed to fit a lady's hand, as the story goes. They are smooth Goncalo Alves wood shaped in a combat style. The only factory models I've noted them on as Original Equipment are the late '80s/early '90s Lady Smiths with a 3" barrel.
I've put these in many a Wyomingite's hand at shows throughout the state. Guys, including me, don't like 'em, but the Gals say "They're the best, ever."
You can sometimes find them on ebay or perhaps in the marketing section of the forum.

Hi Laura, welcome to the forum! Grips are a personal choice as your hands are a different size than mine. It sometimes takes trial and error to find what works.
On my 3" 60-15 I use the old Uncle Mike's rubber stocks. They have an open Backstrap and a nice palm swell. Unfortunately, they are no longer made, but they can sometimes be found on EBay. I use this gun to take hiking so I like rubber grips on it in case my hands are wet. If you want rubber, these are hard to beat IMO.
I'm sure others will be along soon with more suggestions!

Houge Bantam Grips are compact and grip well, but you just have to get ahold on one and try it on the model 60 to really know.

As the $.50 Cowboy stated, one option in using S&W made grips are the Combats he pictured! Here is another option, from the factory, called the Banana grips. Made checkered and smooth.
The Banana grips work well for me for many years until I found Curt Harlow custom grips . These are my custom grips, made to order. and they work better than any other grips for me!

The stocks in my earlier photos are Lady Smith specific. S&W made a pair of stocks known as Combats -- pictured here -- that are completely different, and I haven't yet found a Lady whose hand they fit.

I found a NOS pair of Charles Daly rd to sq grips I really like. They are smooth finger groove combats made of dark rosewood. The unusual feature about them is that they completely enclose the backstrap. they look good on a 3 or 4" J frame. I also have a similar pair of rd butt grips that were made in Thailand. They would look good on a 2 or 3" gun. Now where did that K frame come from?

Another vote for Uncle Mikes Combat grips. Many Model 60's came from the factory with them installed. Uncle Mikes also made a rubber J frame bootgrip but I don't have a pic of that one. The shorter profile does improve the gun's concealability but provides less gripping surface. S&W has been shipping some models with their own versions of these grips for the past 10-15 years I reckon.

I run these, Altamont BATELEUR® on my 60-15 as well as my 640-1s. They fit my had well, good control and I can shoot full house loads all day. I had to relieve them to work with speed loaders.

The Uncle Mike's all look nice, but I can't justify the $80-90+ range that it's selling for used.

Like @Jimmyjones above, I’m a fan of the Bateleurs from Altamont. They look and feel good. I have them on a M60 LS .357 and a 3” M36. They’re ‘grip-filling’ for comfort when shooting without being too large for concealed carry.
(I’ve also had Uncle Mikes boot grips on a couple j-frames over the years and they work very well. Didn’t realize they were discontinued and so expensive now. You used to be able to find them anywhere for $19.95 new in the box..)

Ignore all the other Herrett gripped stuff, in the center is a 60-15 with Herrett's Detective grips.

I like a three finger grip, nothing with the pinky hanging. Is there a boot or square grip that allows for a full purchase?
The Uncle Mikes are a licenced copy of Craig Spegel's Boot Grips in rubber.
I am a big fan of Crimson Trace laser grips. They dampen the recoil and greatly assist aiming, a valuable feature for any gun, especially the short barrel ones.
