Grip suggestions for the 3" model 60?

These work for me. S&W factory Target grips. They work on round or square butt frames.

J square butt targets work for me too, since I have big hands. They also look good!

Trying to find something comfortable that allows me to grip it well and carry. Suggestions?

I prefer to pocket carry a J frame, but a 3" barrel is too long for me. We're all different, so you need to see what works for you. There's no one answer...

When I obtained my 36-6 Chief's Target Special, it came with a hideous thick rubber Hogue Monogrip that just didn't feel right. I replaced the Hogue Rubber Monogrip with a open backstrap wooden Monogrip, and I've been thoroughly satisfied with it for the past 40 years.

Well, thought I would provide an update, I went with the Pach Diamond Pro for my 686+ and 60 and it was a huge improvement....

eBay is a good source of the Tyler-T's... I've gotten several within the last year or two for the N's and J frames off there and they are legit Tyler's...

Tyler is still around. It takes a while between ordering and delivery but I've NEVER heard of someone losing their money: Tyler always fills the order.

If you must have a grip adapter quickly, you can get a similar adapter from one of the members of the forum (I forgot his username). Their adapters are a polymer product, Tyler's are aluminum.

The great benefit of the Tyler grip adapter is that it's used with the magnas. The result is a gun that is perfect for pocket carry. The Tyler doesn't increase the dimensions of the gun.

The rubber grips people recommend make a larger gun that's hard to conceal. Rubber grips are for the range.

Harder to conceal depending on how you carry and what you're wearing. Personally, the rubber grips work best for range and carry. If I ever need to use it, I want it comfortable in my hand. I've never found wooden grips to be pleasant to shoot with....

I find these SW factory grips work best for me!

I need comfort for my 71 year old hands so, I use Pachmayr Compacts.

Maybe not the prettiest, but very comfortable. When I sold my last J frame, I kept these grips to put on my next one. Very functional and comfortable.

A lot of these grips look very comfortable to shoot, but are so big I think you should consider going to a K frame instead. The grip is the part that is hard to hide. You add bulk to make the J frame more comfortable and you might as well carry a K frame.
