I got these grips on a cleaned up Mod 65. They are about perfect cond. They didn't fit the 65 real well so they may be N frames, I'm not sure. Any ideas on what they go to and maybe value?

Those are definately N frame checkered targets for sq butt.
Appearing to be excellent condition and with nice grains, I'd value them at $60-80

I couldn't agree more. The only thing I would add is with the stainless circle inserts (washers) and football relief, they're circa 1973-1982.

ps Target stocks were RARELY numbered to the gun, they didn't require the same fitting as Magnas.

Thanks guys, now I've got an excuse to get an N frame gun to go with them.

I have a set of factory K Frame wood grips that are brand new if you would like to trade.

Dave, I have a H.P. 28-2 mfg in 1978. The N frame target grips I have are mfg a few years too late for me because they have the speed loader cutout. They are like yours-near perfect Goncalo alves. I have been looking for a set like yours for a while-would you consider trading or selling yours? Thanks, Mark

+1

Those are really nice, and not easy to come by. Last set I saw at a show (in that condition) were marked $95. They weren't there at the end of the show.
