Newbie to the site here. Just have a quick question. I have searched past posts but can't find much. Anyone know where I can get some better grips for my 469. I am not a big fan of the current black plastic ones I have. I would love some nice wood ones but i understand they may not be around due to the thin nature of the grip and propensity for them to crack. Any info will work. Thanks Dacoontz.

From what I've found. The aftermarket for 2nd gen grips is very thin. Pachmayr made a "wrap around" kind that covered the front strap. Uncle Mike's has a rubber checkered & an all plastic one. I've also seen OEM ones that are all plastic with checkering. What kind do you have? If you've got the old school kind with the pebble like grip I'd be willing to trade the Pachmayr's I have. I've never used them so they're in great shape.

Thanks for the info. Your offer sounds good but I probably should hang on to the original grips just in case I want the gun back in "stock" form. And yes they are the pebble like kind, they feel kind of slippery. Do you want to sell them? Either way, would you mind posting a picture of them? I would like to see what they are like. I have searched on the Pachmyar site but nothing doing there.
Thanks again.

This is what the Pachmayr's look like:

I still have my two original delrin pebble
grip sets from my two 469's,
in addition to the S&W OEM checkered sets
I ordered from S&W back in the 80's.

Then for awhile I mounted pacymayr's on
both of my 469's.

Currently I enjoy using the Uncle Mike's
rubber grips on them.

Nice pictures. Since we're posting pictures of all the grip options we might as well put one up of the rubber Uncle Mike's grips. They are what I currently use as well.

586L-Frame, where did you get that mag floorplate in the last pic. It looks like it would help with concealment. Does it still offer enough room for a full grip?

Hi ecrawmer,
The mag with the flat-base floorplate
was a after market mag I purchased on
ebay a few years ago from a mag vendor
in Alabama.

There are no markings on the mag that
shows mfr.

I normally grip with my pinky finger on
the underside of the floor plate with this
flat-base magazine.

I prefer using my S&W factory mags with
curved finger-floorplate for reliablity
and firm full gripping.

Dacoontz...I'm in the same boat, a stock 469, thinking about wood panels and I have exhausted my google-fu....

I don't think they exist unless you find a guy to do them custom for you. Then they will cost you a bundle and it probably not worth it. If i do find some then I will let you know and let me know the like wise.
