This may be the wrong place to post this, but here goes: I'm planning on adding my first i frame to my collection soon. Specifically, a .32 HE that would be pre-war. I like "beaters" that are mechanically fine, but cosmetically have seen better days. Sadly, the stocks on most of these old guns are in pretty bad shape. Does anyone offer reproduction stocks for these models? Specifically, reproductions of the hard rubber grips that were used for many years? If not that style, anything else out there? I've done the usual web searches, but am striking out. I'm sure there is not enough demand to tool up to make parts for parts for these old revolvers.

I have used NC Ordnance a time or three or five and been happy with the product. Had to send one back once and they gave me zero grief about it. Manufacturing defect from a new supplier.

Thanks! Appreciate the help.

Hi I went there but didn`t see any mention of I frame in their menu, only J frame.
Are they the same?
Thanks regards, Ray

J frame grips that totally enclose the grip frame, like some target or combat styles, will fit on an I frame. Panel-style J frame grips like the original hard rubber grips will extend below the bottom of the grip frame about 1/8" and look odd. The extension can be trimmed to make them fit better.

Original hard rubber I frame stocks are out there. They are very similar in size to other smaller models so be sure to get exact dimensions, or a return policy.

I frame grips are available from NC Ordinance. You just need to know where to look on their website. Look at S&W guns, top break .32 and .38 revolvers.
