grips

Hi everyone, new to this. I bought a S&W 1st model 38 cal. spur trigger revolver at an estate auction. Grips were smooth wood. Looking for other grips. What other models have grips that will fit this weapon? Serial number is 6xxx. Appears to have been refinished. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum! I'm not sure what is the jist of your question. Are you saying the smooth grips are not original to your gun? There are other grips from other models that might fit, such as the 2nd model .38 SA.. etc. Be aware that all S&W revolvers of that period had their grips fitted to each gun, so grips from even the same models may not be a perfect fit.
