not sure where to post this as the involved guns cover 3 of the revolver categories. if i am in the wrong place please move for me or let me know where subject should be posted. thank you
i won another GB auction. it makes 3 times i bought revolvers for the grips. i won all 3 on GB for what i thought was a good price on each.
the first 1 was an early M&P hand ejector with a set of jigged bone grips. the second was a mdl 10-5 that someone modified that looks like it had been tossed from a moving vehicle. the grips on it turned out to be real ivory. the third is a pre mdl 10 with a set of stags on it.
the last set, the stags, look like someone has put some sort of varnish or clear coat of some kind on them. i would like your opinions on how to remove the coating without hurting the grips. they look really old and very unique. thanks, krs
