Like others here, I'm starting to gather enough Models of 1950 .44 Targets, that I can start grouping them...I already had three 4" versions, but only two 6.5"...Yesterday the opportunity arose to change that number to three, so I did...I paid a little more than I wanted, but the coke stocks on it (although from a later date) made the value an OK one...S98520 puts it into the 1953-54 year range, and I'll have to get around to lettering it after Don catches up with the latest load I've given him...
I have some grips that will be more age-appropriate, so that will be corrected after cleanup...In talking to the seller, I found that he sourced the gun some time ago from someone I already knew, although he is now deceased...The pics are just in the condition received, and all comments are appreciated...
Now that the 4" and 6.5" numbers are even, I can concentrate on adding a couple of 3.5 inchers to the one I have, plus I'll have to start looking for some 5" guns...The 4.5" and 5.5" will be a real problem though...
